periodic function

Tidal waves are an example of periodic function because, they change frequently because they are created by the moon's gravitational pull. As tides come in and out, they create what are known as high tides and low tides (the rise and fall of sea level.) These high tides and low tides follow a pattern, therefore can be documented with the periodic function.
